The Work Begins

Halton Sports – Work Begins

With the new season just around the corner work at the new home of Runcorn Linnets JFC has begun.

All pitches on Halton Sports have now been marked and the 1st phase of the drainage work was completed today as the whole site was Earthquaked.

Also with news that United Utilities have now found and repaired the underground water main leak that had been flooding pitch 3 and the lower level pitches, hopefully this will ease the level of surface water throughout the season.

The 2m wide Earthquake machine provides rotary decompaction through 24 angled blades. This process will vastly improve our surface drainage and durability along with providing air and water movement through the soil to encourage stronger grass development.

We have some work being scheduled at the site and will be looking for volunteers to assist with some groundwork, clearing and tidying up.

We will be asking for YOUR help in the next week or so as we prep area for the start of the season.
