Halton Girls JFC Merge With Runcorn Linnets JFC

We are pleased to announce the merger between Halton Girls Junior Football Club and Runcorn Linnets Junior Football Club with immediate effect.

Halton Girls JFC have a successful 17 year history of providing football development opportunities for girls from the local area. Halton Girls are renowned for having a strong Club ethos of trying to allow all girls regardless of ability access to play and enjoy football in a friendly environment.

This ethos will continue under the Linnets umbrella.

Runcorn Linnets girls section will now consist of 7 teams and a young development group of U8s.

  • 2 x U10s
  • 2 x U12s
  • 1 x U14s
  • 1 x U16s
  • 1 x U18s

With football now the number one female team participation sport in England, the aim of the merger is to provide as many local girls as possible with, first and foremost, a fun experience coupled with the support from dedicated coaches who are continually homing their skills through our Linnets Coach Development Pathway.

 

It is exciting times at the Club with the planned development of facilities and pitches at our Halton Sports Complex, the girls section is now finalised with a clear Player Pathway through juniors, youth and ultimately into Linnets Ladies 1st team.

All girls teams will be reporting back for training week commencing 30th June and will be joining all other Linnets teams for training at Halton Sports playing fields.

Runcorn Linnets JFC is committed to the growth & development of Girls Football, and parents and players can be confident that we will go the extra distance to ensure that the girls football experience is second to none in the area.
