Fixtures for weekend commencing 29/09/2012
Only 3 teams played this weekend due to waterlogged pitches
U7s
After losing to the Pagemoss in the semi final of the summer league we knew this would be a tough game. Both teams started the game well and Pagemoss took the lead with a well placed finish. With this the Linnets boys started to pass the ball really well and dominate the play, a first half hat-trick from inform Leighton Stanley and a goal from Nathan Mercer Linnets were running away with it. The second half had no goals in it but Linnets again dominated the play. Lucas Ramsden was excellent throughout and Bailey Austin and Charlie Fisher put in great shifts but MoM had to go to Leighton "The Goal Machine" Stanley who scored a superb hat-trick and put in an excellent performance. Overall another cracking display from the U7s.
U10s
After being plagued by injuries the 10s have started to see the squad return and they picked up their 1st 3 points of the Merseyside & Halewood season with a 1-0 win over Old Xavs Pumas. Linnets would have been out of sight but for some excellent goal keeping. Goal scorer was the influential Ben Hough and MoM went to hard working Tom ‘Smudger’ Smith for an outstanding performance in center midfield. Onwards and upwards boys let's kick on!
U15s
Saturday’s EPJFL game against Whitby Rangers saw the 15s stroll to a 13-0 win and 3 points.
Sunday’s Cheshire Cup match against Cheadle and Gatley saw the 15s cruelly dumped out of the Cup after a nail biting penalty shootout.
