Our Under 12’s had 2 players on their debuts in todays game, Tom Cormack and Brodie Welsh. Linnets started well and kept control of the ball in the first half and were up 2 nil by half time with great goals from Kern Walsh and Josh Mills. Linnets then made it 4 nil early in the 2nd half with more fine goals from Joe Ward and Brodie Welsh. Our opponants pulled back 2 goals in the closing minutes. Full time score Linnets U12’s 4 – 2 Pavillion Pumas. MOM was given to the whole team as they all put a good shift in.

    Pavilions 0 – 8 Linnets.
With having not played in over three weeks Linnets could be forgiven for starting slow but it was the complete opposite, within ten minutes they were three up with goals from ryan, dan and kai. From here they went from strength to strength and you had to feel for pavilions as they were left chasing shadows at times.a goal from mikey and one more for dan gave linnets a comfortable 5 – 0 lead at half time.the second half again was dominated by linnets as they pushed for more, mikey was to smash in his second before Ryan curled one in from a corner,Matty unsworth wasnt going to be left out of the scoring, having covered most of the pitch all game when he found himself twelve yards from goal he let fly with thunderbolt of a shot to end the game on a high.

Overall lads you fully deserved all three points today for the way you went about your business and it was a pleasure to watch .

Under 7’s v TL Tigers Orange @ Arncliffe – Our Under 7 boys were outstanding today, by far our best TEAM performance of the season so far. Goals from Nathan Mercer, Liam Hall (2) and a brace from the excellent Bailey Austin meant we ran out worthy winners yet again. Our passing game was superb today and Every single player played brilliant. Got to say a big thank you to Leighton Stanley for playing in goal for us today. Kyle Codack and Joe Mercer were again superb in defence while Lucas Ramsden, Liam Hall and Bailey Austin were hard working in midfield. Special mentions for Mason McIntyre and James Walsh who are improving with every game well done boys. Man of the match went to Nathan Mercer who showed brilliant examples of team work. Well done boys from a very proud coaching team.

Under 8’s Vs Albrights – great performance on a big pitch linnets made the most of it with some excellent maturity in their passing. Was a team game and some strong performances across the team, partly why there was 3 MOM in this game. Josh Senior – commanded his area and some brilliant kicking which resulted in the first goal. William Bloomfield- strong and assured at the back, with some clever passes into the wings to set up the attacks and also Ethan Hansen scoring two and some great wing play.
