The weather almost got the better of this fixture but thankfully the pitch got the go ahead from the referee. The game started with both sides playing some good football . Linnets took the lead with a superb long distance effort from Nathan Mercer but Old Xavs were soon back level within minutes. Linnets started to take control of the game peppering the Xavs goal and minutes before the break Charlie Fisher unleashed a thunderbolt into the top corner giving us the edge at half time. In the second half Linnets dominated the play and a brace from Leighton Stanley and another from Charlie Fisher meant the boys ran out worthy winners again. MoM was James Walsh who was excellent throughout with some lovely passes and team play. Well done little men.  Special mention to Lucas Ramsden who has won the competition for muddiest  kit ......well done Lucas

Linnets u12's had the chance to go top of the league with a game in hand. Unfortunately the lads couldn't get their game going and never produced the standard of football that we have become accustomed to this season. Being held to a 1-1 draw. All credits got to go to Helsby Hawkes who did their manager proud. Linnets goal coming from Jay Baxter
