12/01/13 U8's v Palacefields Athletic KO 2.30 Stockham Fields - HDJFL
Top of the table clash saw Linnets up against a strong Palacefields side who have not lost all season. In a game that was always going be tough for both side Linnets came out on top with a first half display of attack but a second if having to defend the lead, and defend it superbly the whole team did. Each individual put their all in. Daniel Lampkin got the all important goal with a looping effort that went over the keeper and dropped in. MoM again could have gone to anyone but MoM went to 3 people. Luke Smith, Sean Gaskill and Michael Martin. Absolute excellent defending by these three and breaking forward. Michael for attempting the most outranges overhead kick that although he missed was technically brilliant. Fantastic performance against a very good side.....Great game of football!

12/01/13 U9's v Heath Rangers Blues KO 12 Stockham Fields - HDJFL
The first game of 2013 on paper looked like being a real cracker, as we were playing Heath Rangers Blues. Nothing separating both teams in the league, both unbeaten, but from the first whistle Linnets took control of the game playing some great football, Heath couldn't live with the tempo but Linnets were missing chance after chance and it looked like it was going to be one of those days at half time the score remained 0 – 0, it so easily could have been 5 or 6 - 0. After some changes the second half started with BANG, BANG, BANG, as Linnets started finishing their chances. First goal coming from a corner Ethan Taburn making himself half a yard to volley home into the corner of the net, the 2nd came from Fenton Gibbons who battled for possession beat a man and fired hard and low into the corner 2-0. Fenton very quickly scored another two goals to claim the match ball, a left footed player scoring a hat-trick all with his right foot. Linnets were 4 nil up cruising and Joe Last fired one in to make it 5- 0, Heath Rangers didn't know what had hit them, a great display and a real all round team performance. MoM was awarded to Bradley Smith who was brilliant. WELL DONE BOYS !!
