The FA Football Futures Programme is a scheme aimed at recognising, rewarding and supporting young people aged 14-22 years who are interested in getting involved in leadership & volunteering in Football
The FA Leadership and Volunteering Programme (Football Futures), is an initiative which enables the FA to recruit, enthuse, recognise, retain and support the development of young peoples Leadership skills within the game.
The aim of the programme is to encourage the placement of Leaders aged between 14-22 years who have completed the minimum of a Leadership Award (either FA JFO or Level 1 Leadership Award (JSLA/CSLA)) or a FA Qualification (Level 1 or Level 2, Basic Referee Course) into a range of environments: be it at a school, college, local Charter Standard Football club or league or other likeminded partner and recognise the commitment of the Leader.
The programme will play a vital role in developing the volunteer workforce within the game through creating an effective, safe and enjoyable pathway for Leaders.
