Great team performance against Sandymoor, both goalkeepers in fine form and kept the scores low. Bit of practice on scoring this week to become more ruthless in front of goal. Good work lads keep it up. Goal scorer – Luis Hamdy MOM – TJ

No Game – H&D
No league fixture so set up friendly against a new Brookvale Sunday team. Excellent performance today from all the boys, patient passing build up play from the back which payed off just into the second half with Lewis Thompson our goal scorer  with another goal a few minutes later. That's 6 in 3. Outstanding performances also from Lewis Owen who was outstanding all game and Jack Cresswell who ran his heart out. Great captains performance from Nathan McLeod whose tackling was immense. Another clean sheet for Jak Molynuex that 3 in 3. Keep up the good work and progress boys 😉
Under 10s Warr
Moorfield Juniors – Sat KO 10.30 Halton Sports #4 – WJFL
Tough opposition today but the lads stepped up and for third week in a row played some top class football. Current goal machine Daniel Lampkin added another two, earning him 1/3 of the MOM awards, not only for his goals but his brilliant work rate and off the ball runs. Zak judge also got himself 2 and MOM for another very assured display at the back. Third mom for Michael Martin who grabbed himself a goal but his defensive side was brilliant. Keeping with the oppositions very quick and skilful captain. Ethan Hansen also got on the score sheet. Another team display that is growing each week. All managers think it about their team but this team really is something special! Well played again lads!!
Under 10s M&H
Inny Boys – Sun KO 10.30 Little Heath #1 – M&H D1
Following on from their impressive display against Whiston, The Linnets lads were to face a tough test against the leagues new boys. Linnets started the game very brightly and controlled the early part of the half? Linnets had several efforts on goal, the best coming from Taylor Verdin who struck the ball on the half volley from about 25 yards out. However, against the run of play it was the visitors who took lead and then several minutes later a great save from Alfie Hayes prevented Linnets going further behind. The second half saw both sides creating chances but it was Linnets lads who were looking the more dangerous. They got their deserved equaliser when Michael Martin was brought down to give the Linnets a free kick in a good position. Luke Smith stepped up to take and curled one into the top corner of the net to level.
This set the lads off to chase a second and it arrived courtesy of a great piece of counter attacking football. Linnets rearguard of Zak Judge and Luke Smith recovered the ball from an Inny attack and then sent the ball forward to the attacking trio of MoM Bob Martin, Deri Hutchinson and Mike Martin. The ball found its way to Mike Martin who hit a low drive in to the bottom corner of the goal to finish them off. From then on it was end to end stuff. Linnets pressing for a third and Inny looking for an equaliser but it was the Linnets lads who prevailed to take a well deserved victory. Who are we? LINNETS!!!
Under 10s FUTSAL
Dynamo Woolton – Sun KO 9.30 Arncliffe #1 – M&H Conf
A very strong and disciplined performance from the Futsal boys vs good opposition. The lads held there own physically, but also played by far the better football. The game was eventually decided by a thunder rocket of a goal from Finn Maher. After a clearance from a Linnets corner, Finley smashed a strike from almost the half way line hard through the crowd giving the keeper no chance. After 30 mins of waves of attack from Brad, Josh Crockett, Joe Stevo, Emlyn, and the classy Harvey Loughran Tan, Woolton held strong with the keeper keeping the scores close, the last 10 mins was a close affair, Woolton creating a few chances only to be denied by resolute defending from Josh Mc, Callum, Cresswell, Finley and Harvey. Linnets had a few chances to put the nail in the coffin, and the 1-0 was thoroughly earned. MOM - Harvey for his hard work and disciplined defensive duties, on top of his ever present classy wing wizard skills and passing. A great start to the M&H season by the Futsal boys, not only showing flair in abundance, but stood up to the physical challenge so far. Well done boys, proud coaches/parents.

MOM was Jack Samuel.
Great result today for the lads who showed great attitude throughout the game.
After last weeks disappointment the lads wasted no time in controlling the game this week against a very tough opponent who beat us home and away last season.
Looking dangerous on every attack the pick of the bunch first half was a couple of worldies apiece from Jack Samuel & Tom Connolly and a great team goal sweeping the ball from one side of the pitch to the other with a great cross and finish to complete the move.
Couple of things to work on in training Tuesday but overall an excellent team performance.
Under 16′s
Brookvale United – Sat KO 10.30 Woodside – STH&R
Linnets 11-1 Bookvale. 50 seconds on the clock and Brookvale were behind, 5 minutes gone and they were 5 behind. The score could of been really embarrassing but linnets seem to forget about playing there football and all wanted to get on the score sheet. It was great to see some many different goals corers  and overall a well earned three points. Goals . Lewis 3,Liam 2,dek,mat aero Jamie brad and Niall all getting one each. MoM Sam. Well done lads.
