Saturday marked the first meeting between Linnets Blacks and Linnets Greens . The Blacks were led out this week by Mason as captain after last week's captain Logan handed over the armband and were quick to get the came underway. There were great performances by both sets of players, with some great passing from both teams. This was a great day for Kai scoring in his new boots, another great goal for Bobby and Kaeden still smiling from last week's Man of the match award got his first goal for the team. The man of the match for the Blacks went to Isaac K for some great goalkeeping even managing a diving header over his crossbar. Isaac's face summed up how he proud of himself he was and how much fun he had in our first "Derby". Full time was celebrated with Bacon Butties all round and the traditional "treat bags" for all the team. Well done Linnets!
