Linnets started this hotly anticipated match on the front foot and took the lead after their captain for the day Harry intercepted a Hurricanes corner and played a great pass to Logan who coolly took the ball around the keeper and slotted into the empty net.
Oscar showed good patience to jockey his tricky opponent before putting in a great sliding tackle and from the resulting Hurricanes corner Rio did well to claim the ball. In the final action of the first half Oliver played a great pass forward which resulted in a good chance for Linnets.
Linnets were out the traps quickly for the second half winning a free kick on the corner of the box which Anthony lined up and hit an unstoppable strike into the top corner - a stunning goal!
Louis won possession down the left hand side and played a lovely ball down the line to Luca who used his pace to go past two defenders before taking it round the keeper and finding the corner from a tight angle - great goal!
Hurricanes struck back with a long range effort which just about crossed the line. Linnets restored their advantage immediately from kick off with Anthony crossing in and a Hurricanes defender being unlucky to turn it into his own net.
Hurricanes took advantage of the ball staying in play to grab a goal back, scored another with the ball rolling over the line and completed their scoring following a scramble in the six yard box.
Linnets went in search of a final goal and were so unlucky in the closing stages to see Rhys' powerful free kick hit the crossbar.
Man of the match awarded to Oliver for playing really well in defence. Goal of the match awarded to Anthony for his superb free kick.
