11/11/12 U7's v TL Tigers Black KO 10.30 Arncliffe - M&HJFL
On a lovely morning the Linnets boys got off to a flying start against a good TL Tigers Black side, a lovely passing move was finished off in style by the excellent Leighton Stanley. Linnet’s second goal was another well placed shot scored by Bailey Austin after more great football from the Linnets boys and at half time the boys were just edging it. TL tigers pulled one back in the second half but goals from Nathan Mercer, Lucas Ramsden and James Walsh meant the boys ran out comfortable winners in the end. Special Mentions to Archie Nolan and Bailey Austin who both had a half each in goal and did the TEAM a massive favour.....well done boys. MoM went to Lucas Ramsden for great defensive work and following instructions really well today. Overall a great win from the boys yet again.

10/11/12 U8's v Beechwood Warriors KO 12 Haddocks Wood - HDJFL
Good performance on an awful pitch which meant the team found it difficult to play the attractive flowing football they have been playing this season. The team dug in and played some great battling football. Goals coming from Daniel Lampkin (2), Alfie Hayes (1) and an OG. MoM was Jack Steele for a second week running. A great range of passing spreading the ball to each wing and some impressive solid tackling by the team all round.

10s took 3 points away at Pavs Pirates with a 0-2 victory over an improving Pirates who were well fired up for the game. Ben Hough scored both goals but it was MoM performance form Jaiden Patel who read the game, tackled like a demon and never wasted a pass all game. Thanks Dan for his time and effort.
11/11/12 U10's v Kingsthorne KO 9.30 Arncliffe - M&HJFL
Another defeat in the MHJFL for the Sunday boys. 0-0 at HT with 50/50 possession and chances for both team but Linnets dominated the 2nd half and played some fantastic football but just couldn’t put the ball in the net, they were punished 3 times against the run of play. 0-3 FT. Kingsthorne will be very happy with that result.

10/11/12 U13's v HRBL Knights KO 12 Halton Sports Ref: Darren Law - H&DJFL
Sunday v Mossley Hill, 2-4 defeat. Goals from Luca & Max. A tough start against a good passing team, early mistakes forcing linnets to chase the game. 1-2 HT. Linnets came out fighting and much the better team throughout 2nd half, a hat full of missed chances and conceding counter attack goals. Lads are learning fast that mistakes are punished heavily at this level, but signs we are getting ever closer to that first win with a superb attacking display 2nd half. MoM Andy Whittaker, very creative performance up front, a constant thorn in the oppositions defence, creating countless chances and hitting the post.

10/11/12 U14's v BPR Leiria KO 12 Halton Sports Ref: Stephen Burleigh - HDJFL
Linnets 3 - 2 BPR Leiria. With no win this season, on paper this should have been an easy three points for Linnets but BPRL had different ideas. Straight from the start Leiria settled into the game and ten minutes in were ahead with a well taken finish, this seem to stun Linnets and BPRL went looking for more, twenty on the clock and Linnets were two down after another well taken goal. Linnets were to grab one just before the half as Dan squared for Mikey to smash home. 2-1 down and the second half was all to play for as the next goal could decide which way the game went. Joe the goalie had to be taken off with a fractured hand and Cal had to put on the gloves, with only minutes left of the game it looked like Linnets time had run out but they weren’t going down without a fight and it was Mikey who burst free, rounded the keeper and coolly slotted home from a tight angle,2 -2 and only seconds left Matty picked up the ball on the half way line and attacked the BPRL defence looking like he had run out of pitch he crossed the ball in from a tight angle for Dan to appear from nowhere to bullet in a diving header to give Linnets all three points and send their manager Ste crazy. MoM Mikey. Big well done to all the team thanks to Cal for going in goal and a big get well soon goes to Joe who will be out of action for a few weeks. Ste a very grey haired but happy Manager.
