04/11/12 U7's v Netherley Valley KO 11.30 Arncliffe

A hefty victory for the 7s against 15 Netherley Valley. The lads played some lovely football. Goals from Charlie Fisher (4) Leighton Stanley (3) James Walsh (2) Lucas Ramsden (2) Bailey Austin (2) and Nathan Mercer (2) meant the boys ran out worthy winners again. Special mention to Sam Bignall who was like Messi when he played in midfield second half . Also well done to Kyle Codack , Archie Nolan and Joe Mercer for being excellent in defence yet again. Got to say well done to my little man Mason Mcintyre too for being a great captain and putting in some lovely crosses, well done son. MoM went to James Walsh for some great team work yet again. Overall another great win boys well done to all. A mention to the two female mechanics outside the Arncliffe today........How many people does it take to open a car bonnet?

03/11/12 U8's v Beechwood Juniors KO 1.30 Stockham Ref: Matthew Harrison

Excellent team performance which resulted in a dominating game. Goals coming from across the pitch. Alfie Hayes grabbing 4, Andrew Law and Ethan Hansen getting a brace each, Amelia Norton and Daniel Lampkin each picking up a goal and MoM Jack Steele with a goal and an all round fantastic performance creating a host of chances for his team mates and making some solid challenges at the back. Great game and great result

03/11/12 U9's v Beechwood Juniors KO 12 Stockham Ref: Jake Shaw

9s ran out 7 - 0 winners and picked up 3 points although they made hard work of it, after only leading 1 nil at half time. Big shout out to Paul manager of Beechwood as their kids have improved so much. Linnets played some great football in the second half and scored some great team goals. MoM was split between a Bradley Smith and Harry Davis

03/11/12 U10's v Pex Hill U10's CUP KO 1.30 Widnes Rec

Saturday - After a slow start Linnets got to grips with their 1st round U10s District Cup game against Pex Hill Lions running out 0-4 winners after a poaching hat trick from sniffer Ethan Olubodun and a classy solo winner from Jorge Dwyer put the 10s into the next round of the cup. MoM was Ethan for being sharp in front of goal but Jorge Dwyer came a close 2nd for an all round great performance on the wing.

04/11/12 U10's v Racing Club Woolton KO 9.30 Camp Hill

Sunday - Taking on top of the league Racing Woolton, straightaway the 10s the game plan went up in smoke as the boys conceded in the 1st min. The only time Linnets looked like threatening was on the counter but the team didn't take their chances. After some clever play and at 3-0 down, on fire Ben Hough met an excellent cross field pass from Captain Tom Collins and steered it past the keeper for a conciliation goal but it was too late. 3-1 defeat.

Linnets ran out 12 - 1 winners with goals from: Ryan 1, Rhys 1, George 1. Owen 1. Liam 2, Olly 2, Cole 3 and an OG 1.  MoM Deano, 2nd Patto. A great game but unfortunately the ref made the game all about him and not the kids.

03/11/12 U12's v HRBL KO 10.30 Haddocks Wood Ref: Thomas Hendey

A slow start for Linnets today saw them go behind early in the game. Linnets then stepped it up a gear or two in the second half and played the kind of football we all know that they can. Final score HRBL 2 - 9 Runcorn Linnets! Great goals from James Corby (x4), Josh Mills, Mark Bonello, Brodie Welsh, Louis Nickson and Kern Walsh. MoM was given to Mark Bonello.

03/11/12 U13's v Hale Juniors KO 10.30 Hale Park ref: Jack Slater

Sat - Hale Juniors 4 - 2 Linnets. A very slow start costing Linnets dearly, Linnets chased the game all the way with late goals from Luca and Matty, but had left it too late to get any points. MoM - Ellis Campbell & Joe Coady for never quitting when the chips were down.

04/11/12 U13's v Stockholm KO 11.15 Little Heath Full Size Pitch #1

Sun - Stockholm 4 - 0 Linnets - A match between 2 local rivals, another very poor start again going 3-0 down in 10 mins. Second half fight back was on but not enough quality football to beat a very strong Stockholm team. Credit to most of the Stockholm players & manager no doubt a quality outfit.

03/11/12 U14's v Heath Rangers KO 12 Boston Youth Stadium Ref: Thomas Hendey

Linnets 4 - 0 Heath Rangers. So proud of the way the lads played today from back to front they totally destroyed Heath Rangers. Matty Uns was to score the first with a great solo run cracking home a low left footed shot giving the keeper no chance. Dan was to get Linnets second as he was put through one on one to coolly finish. Joe in goal when called into action pulled off some great saves. Dan was to get his second just before the half to make it 3 - 0. Linnets made some changes at half time but the commitment was the same as Heath Rangers couldn't handle the work rate and pressure they were put under. MoM Matty Uns who was again involved in the fourth as the keeper couldn't hold his shot and Kai was there to tap in from close range. Excellent team performance and so proud of the lads.
