17/11/12 U14's v Runcorn Town - HDJFL

Linnets 0 - 3 Runcorn Town. In a game of two halves where the first half was dominated by Linnets in respect to both chances and commitment Runcorn Town would have taken a draw at half time if asked. The second half was a different story as Town clawed their way back into the game and stunned Linnets with two great strikes. 2 - 0 down and Linnets were given a life line by way of a penalty only for it to be saved. This knocked the stuffing out of Linnets having given so much in the first half. Town were to finish the game the strongest earning themselves a pen and after slotting it coolly home there was no way back. Final score 3-0 and this our first defeat of the season. The lads need to put this one behind them and move on to next week. MoM was awarded to Matty Unsworth.
