SCORES ON THE DOORS!

U7 Green

After another forced break it was back to action for linnet’s u7s Greens against a solid Heath Rangers Celtic team. The temperature had dropped and it’s fair to say so did the boy’s first half performance compared to recent games, they were a little hesitant when in possession and just couldn’t find the break through with Adam and Harrison both coming close. The boys finally did find a break through when Charlie converted Matthews’s corner and swept the ball into the bottom corner.

The second half started in unfortunate fashion for “Captain Jack” who is not one to shy away from headers as he in avertedly put one into his own goal; however like a true captain he did not let this affect his performance and he rallied the team on.

Mackenzie once again came out of goal for the second half and was soon on the score sheet showing great composure in front of goal with some clinical finishing thanks to Robbie and Adam teeing him up and Robbie also found the back of the net!

It was great to see the team passing the ball around so effectively in the second half and many times starting at the back and working their way forward to create chances.

Mackenzie was man of the match for his outstanding performance and lapped up the round of applause from his team mates and parents alike.

U11G Yellows

Well our little linnets ladies was back in action today up at moss farm we only had one game but was a tough one against a strong Vulcan sports
Our girls played some very very good football and battled right to the final whistle we went 1-0 down on the first half though a very well worked free kick
But our girls heads never went down
And carried on battling we go one back in the second half and how we never scored another 10 goals I will never know
Verina and I are very proud of our girls today, they are starting to bring the stuff we are doing at training and using it on the pitch
Well done girls hope you all enjoyed it because I enjoyed watching the performance today.
