Match Report vs Hurricane Storm (Away)
Harry captained the team well with some composed play in our first game of the new season after gaining promotion.
Hurricane started strongly and after some nice passing play managed to slot the ball in the back of the our net. We hit back immediately from kick off after some good play, a lovely assist by Luca, allowed Anthony to finish nicely.
Hurricane then found the net after a deflection from a corner and it was credit to our lads that they kept going and through a powerful free kick which left their keeper with no chance, Anthony has his second of the game.
Just before half time Hurricane took advantage of some confusion in our area and then started the second half better of the two.
We kept battling, with Oliver putting some great tackles in and Louis curling in a few cracking corners which we were unlucky not to score from. midway through the half, Rhys played a brilliant long pass to Logan who finished superbly first time.
Hurricane then hit straight back after a goal line scramble which we were very unfortunate to concede from after some great last ditch defending and very brave goalkeeping from Rio.
We continued to play with determination and back in to the game with a very clever corner by Logan, who spotted a gap at the near post and curled it home for his second of the game.
We continued to attack and was awarded a penalty, which Anthony coolly finished for his hat-trick.
Not settling for that we continued to attack and finished the game really strongly.
It was a superb game of football, and credit is due to both teams for such a great, well spirited game.
Man of the Match awarded to Oscar for a brilliant display of defending, supporting the attack and a great free kick cross at the end which almost set up a goal.
Well done all.
