16/09/12 U7's v The Venny KO 9.30 Arncliffe Mini #1 - M&HJFL

ALL the boys were excellent today playing some great football at times. Goal scorers: Liam Hall (2), Leighton Stanley (1), Nathan Mercer (1), Charlie Fisher (1) and a very special mention to Mason McIntyre who scored his first ever goal today from the penalty spot. We kept another clean sheet today thanks to our goal keeper Sam Bignall who pulled off some fantastic saves. MoM  goes to Nathan Mercer . Well done to all the boys who made us all proud again.

Under 8s

15/09/12 U8's v Heath Rangers Atletico KO 12 Stockham - H&DJFL

Outstanding performance from the under 8s. Linnets play of pass and move was faultless during the game with a solid back 2 of Luke Smith and Sean Gaskill who well deservedly gained joint MoM sending perfect passes for the strength of the midfield to set up all of Linnets goals. Alfie Hayes with a nice hatrick followed by Daniel Lampkin with (2) and Jack Steele (1). Over all superb effort and one very proud assistant manager.

Under 9s

15/09/12 U9's v Halebank KO 12 Stockham Ref: Jake Shaw - H&DJFL

11 – 1 win and 3 points for the 9s and some great football being played by the team. Goals coming from: Fenton Gibbons (Hatrick), Ethan Taburn (2), Joe Last (2), Bradley Smith (1), Matty Lea (1), Harry Davis (1) and congratulations to Ryan Ayres who bagged his first goal for Linnets.

Under 10s

15/09/12 U10's HDJFL GAME POSTPONED

16/09/12 U10's v Mags Madrid KO 10.30 Thomas Lane Mini #1 - M&HJFL

A hard fought 4-1 away defeat to Mags. Overall Linnets played well at times but just lacked a bit of a cutting edge and a bit of luck conceding 3 goals at the latter part of the 2nd half as Linnets legs tired. Again, with players carrying injuries and still missing injured players doesn’t make the task an easy one but the makeshift, bare numbers team did well and the lads should keep their heads up. Linnets only goal came from hard working MoM Niall Roberts.

Under 11s

15/09/12 U11's v Weston Point Warriors KO 10.30 Weston Point School Ref: Thomas Hendey - H&DJFL

11s started their 1st H&D game at their new home pitch and shredded Weston Point Warriors 20 – 0. Goals from: Olly (4), Cole (3), Rhys (3), a brace each for Owen, George, Liam and Patto and one each for Ronnie and Dennis. MoM Olly

16/09/12 U11's v Vicars Cross Dynamos Colts KO 2 Ref: Jonathon Tarr - C&DJFL

On Sunday the 11s picked up where they left off with an impressive  29 - 1 victory over Vicars Cross Dynamos Colts in the Chester & District JFL. Goals from: Owen (5), George (4), Dennis (4), Cole (3), Olly (3), a brace each for Patto, Meric, Liam and Vicars Cross Dynamos Colts (OGs) and on each for Ryan and Millsy. MoM Jack Mills.

That’s 49 goals in two games for the U11s and what must be a goal scoring record weekend for any Linnets team? Well done boys. However Dean & Paul were not happy at conceding a goal on Sunday and will be working the boys very hard at training this week!! Lol

Under 12s

15/09/12 U12's v Windmill Hill Knights KO 10.30 Haddocks Wood Ref: James Watkinson Turner - H&DJFL

Linnets u12 kept up their good start to the season with a solid 3-0 win away win against Windmill Knights. Despite a scrappy game the linnets quality shone through with spectacular goals from Jack McGrogan and Owen Allen. The Mom accolade went to Ben Coady who was excellent and playing in a league of players 1 year older and much bigger than he is use to.

13s picked up a point in a 4-4 draw against Brookvale. Goals from Adam Hughes, Sean Hanaghan & Dylan Scott (2). MoM went to Adam Hughes

16/09/12 U13's v Mersey Celtic KO 9.45 Arncliffe Full Size #1 - M&HJFL

A 1 - 3 defeat for Linnets in the M&H against Mersey Celtic. Linnets goal for Luca Tron, MoM was Jack Samuel

Under 14s

15/09/12 U14's v BPR Leiria KO 10.30 Heath Park #7 Ref: Mike Ellison - H&DJFL

4-2 win. 10.30 starts don't go down well in the 14's as they fell behind in the first five minutes again. The lads had to regroup and knuckle down to the job in hand and only due to the strong wind Linnets led at the break 2-1 with goals from Mikey and Kyle. The second half was all Linnets as they took the game to BPR two great finishes from MoM Matty Unsworth gave the 14s the cushion the needed. A late consolation goal from BPR wasn't going to spoil the day as the boys took all three points. Great to get the kids back on the field and looking forward to next week already. get well soon Luke and we would like to welcome our new signings Kai and Dan to the Club.
