Under 8s

22/09/12 U8's v Runcorn Town KO 12 Stockham H&DJFL

Under 8s found themselves against a scrappy Runcorn Town side. Linnets went behind but answered back with a great free kick from Luke Smith as he finally found the back of the net. As the game progressed Linnets fell behind again but pulled it back level through Micheal Martin. Town scored again with 3 minutes left to play. Overall a scrappy game of stop and start which affected Linnets style of football.

Under 14s

22/09/12 U14's v Albrights KO 10.30 Leigh Rec Ref: Adam Woodcock H&DJFL

Linnets 3 - 2 Albrights. In a well contested game it was only right that Linnets took all 3 points, Straight from the start new boy Kai Cooly finished from close range,1 - 0 up and Albrights weren't going to give us the points without a fight as they equalised. 1 - 1 and again it was new boy Kai who got on the end of a great move to give Linnets the lead. 2 – 1. The pitch was turning into a    battle ground as players got stuck into each other, Linnets were to get there third in spectacular fashion as Sam smashed a thirty yard free kick in off the bar. Albrights weren't done yet and  a mix up in defence saw them grab a second and make it a nervous last twenty. A MASSIVE well done to the whole team for their display and determination. Well done to Kai and Dan on their debuts.
